Submitters usually receive a link to our laurel in the confirmation message when you submit to one of our film festivals. Our 2019 SciFi & Fantasy event was held Sunday, 10/20/2019, 3-9 PM at The Bug Theater. AIAFilmmakers is an independent private group, a “learned society” of sorts. We seek to function as a forum to discuss matters of interest with our members. Learn more, about us, more. We anticipate submissions from many countries. Activists submit short & feature-length films, screenplays, music/songs, art, photos and more for consideration by our team of 3-8 judges, which usually changes seasonally.

As our film festivals grow in popularity & sponsorship, we hope to invite partners, friends & volunteers. We hope to hold panels and debates. We’re planning an annual fundraiser, hopefully beginning 2022. Association of International Activist Filmmakers regrets that we are unable to screen all of our official selections to our three film festivals. Also note, while we are gathering support, live events may be lightly attended.

Submitters are encouraged to create your own marketing & promotional materials consistent with our provided “look and feel.” Of course, we’re happy to create custom award certificates upon request at the conclusion of our latest live film festival event. Read more. Also read here. Learn more.
